Kurzbeschreibung
This year, on Provenance Research Day, we would like to contribute to our museum’s structural integration and visibility of provenance research. In recent years, we have created an internal archive of the museum’s collectors and dealers, which will be made accessible in inventory form for our staff and curators on this occasion. At the same time, we are introducing a weekly provenance consultation hour to facilitate cooperation with conservators on new acquisitions and to establish ourselves as a point of contact early in the process. To further develop the external exchange in addition to the internal integration and to advance the historical contextualisation of cultural NS expropriations as part of the Holocaust, we will furthermore organise an expert meeting with researchers from the NIOD (Dutch Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies) on April 12, 2023, focused on the exchange of archive materials and relevant research approaches.
