From 3 to 5 November 2026, the Arbeitskreis Provenienzforschung e.V. (AKPF) will hold its annual conference in Hannover. Under the title “(Re)Positioning Provenance Research – Changed Frameworks – New Challenges?”, 77 speakers from Germany and ten other countries will discuss key developments in the field across 19 panels and two workshops – ranging from looted art and restitution to international legal developments and new digital methods. The conference will take place at the Sprengel Museum Hannover, the Landesmuseum Hannover, the Museum August Kestner and the ZeitZentrum Zivilcourage.
