Kurzbeschreibung

Leipzig University’s Institute of Anatomy houses a historical \“skull collection\“ dating back to the 19th century. Among the ancestral remains are those of today’s South Africa. The institute is conducting
provenance research in collaboration with the Department of Historical Studies at the University of the Western Cape. We invite you to a conversation about the initial findings – the intertwined histories of racist research practices, international acquisition networks, and colonial wars.
