Amidst the increasing attention paid to the importance of provenance and the decolonization of museum collections, in response to the contemporary role of museums, a national legal framework for cultural property restitution has gradually developed as cases continue to arise. However, the application of certain terms remains vague, and defining their scope poses a great procedural challenge.
